Gina Montet

 

A graduate of the University of Miami, (BSC film production/theater) Gina Montet has been active in South Florida theater for over twenty years as a writer, director and actor. As a playwright she has more than fifteen professionally produced plays (8 musicals) to her credit many of which she also directed. Among her most successful works are her environmental education plays for young audiences which have been touring Florida since 2000 and continue to entertain and educate thousands of Florida students each year. As an actor, Gina has performed everything from Shakespeare to stand up comedy serving on the board of several local improvisational theater companies including Laughing Matters and Just the Funny. Gina is currently a member of the fine arts faculty at several schools in Miami where she teaches theater and film production as well as writes and directs.
