Kunya Rowley​

A native of Miami, FL, Kunya earned his Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from New World School of the Arts, but often straddles the worlds of various genres. His artistic credits include performances with Magic City Opera, Slow Burn Theatre, Klezmer Orchestra, Opera Naples, Orchestra Miami, and M Ensemble. 

 

A Knight Arts challenge recipient, Kunya was awarded a grant from the Knight Foundation for his project "Hued Songs". A community performance series, Hued Songs explores and celebrates black history through the lens of black music and artists. In addition to being an artist, Kunya is a sales professional within the the hospitality industry. He is excited to use his background as an artist and as a leader in the for-profit world to be a conduit for accessible arts across a multi-cultural platform.
