Margaret M. Ledford

 

Margaret M. Ledford has her roots in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Speech from the University of TN and studied Cubo-Expressionistic Scenography post WWI abroad at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Since moving to South Florida Margaret has found the allure of the weather, nature, and diversity to be artistically enriching and challenging. She is a 6 time Carbonell Award nominated director, a multiple Silver Palm winner for direction and she was the Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director for The Promethean Theatre for 8 years. Margaret has directed for many S FL theaters both educational and professional including: Nova Southeastern University, Florida International University, Fantasy Theatre Factory, St John for the Arts, City Theatre, New Theatre, Naked Stage, Mosaic Theatre, Caldwell Theatre, and Florida Stage. Currently she serves the South Florida Theatre League as Board President. Margaret is thrilled to be a part of this group of talented and visionary collaborators.
